Lawsuit filed against EGUSD and school board over meeting agenda
City, AT&T and Verizon are targeting 7 Elk Grove schools; more are on the way
A lawsuit filed November 9 in Sacramento Superior Court seeks a court order directing the Elk Grove Board of Education to place the issue of what to do about new 4G and 5G cell antennas near schools on the agenda of a regular Board meeting.
The proposed agenda item includes a resolution by the Board opposing new cell antennas near schools, an electromagnetic injury awareness day designed by District staff, and school District cooperation with the City in persuading AT&T and Verizon to not go ahead with new cell antennas near schools.
“The City, AT&T and Verizon are preying on students. New cell antennas near schools will cause students to use their phones more at school, taking their minds and attention away from their classes and teachers” said Elk Grove resident Mark Graham, who filed the lawsuit. “And the radiation is hazardous to your health.”
The Elk Grove Citizen published a news story about this lawsuit. The reporter did a good job!

Court hearing in lawsuits vs FCC set for January 25, 2021
Two of the loveliest terms I have ever heard are EHT and CHD. As in Environmental Health Trust, the creation of Devra Davis, Ph.D, and Children’s Health Defense, the creation of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. These two organizations are fighting the battle of our lives, the battle for all of our lives, our ability to live without the constant, harmful and even deadly assault of electromagnetic fields (EMF) in our homes, work places, and public places.
They have each sued the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) the heavily co-opted, controlled, and anti-consumer and anti-local government agency that was put in control of regulating the EMF from such things as cell towers, cell antennas and cell phones.

Write to new City Council Member Kevin Spease to keep new cell antennas away from schools.
Here is a draft letter
Newly elected City Council Member Kevin Spease has served on the Elk Grove Planning Commission. He appears to not be familiar with the correspondence between Elk Grove residents and the City Council and staff on cell antenna policy since the Planning Commission's votee to approve the new policy last July. We have an opportunity to shape Kevin's opinion and inform him on this issue. He will be on the Council for 4 years (at least) and we really need some cooperation from him.
Here is a draft letter you can use to write to Kevin Spease. Make sure and put his name on it, your name, and the date. His email address is kevin@kevinspease.com
Personalizing your message will make it stand out. Also, if you will copy me on your email (cc or bcc) I would appreciate it.

Write to new school Board member Sean Yang to keep new cell antennas away from schools.
Sean Yang was elected on November 3, 2020 as the newest member of the Board of Trustees of the Elk Grove Unified School District (EGUSD), also known as the school Board. He brings a fresh set of eyes and ears to all school District issues. We have an opportunity to shape his opinion and inform him on cell antenna policy. Amazingly, during the year and a half that the City negotiated its new cell antenna policy with AT&T it did not reach out to the District to ask its opinion on cell antenna placement near schools and the effect that would have on education and student and teacher health. We want the District to work cooperatively with the City to prevent any more new cell antennas near EGUSD schools.
Here is a draft letter you can use to write to Sean Yang. Make sure and put his name on it, your name, and the date. His email address is seanyang2020@yahoo.com
You can also write to him on his facebook page https://www.facebook.com/SeanYangForElkGroveSchoolBoard
Personalizing your message will make it stand out. Also, please copy me on your email (cc or bcc). Thanks in advance and great work!
